The Senate will pass amnesty bill
I'm totally against amnesty for illegal aliens for many reasons. The main one being that they claim to want citizenship but their very first act in America was to violate the law. Why should they be rewarded for breaking our laws? What kind of citizenry will they make?

This country is already suffering from water shortages caused by too high demands. Social services are stretched to the limit because of illegal immigrants. We don't need more people. We don't need money siphoned off and sent abroad as these immigrants do. We don't need people that think they are entitled to be Americans just because they want to be. American citizenship is not a right for those not born of American parents, it is a privilege granted to worthy applicants. It is definitely not something to be demanded after committing an illegal act.

If your government is too lazy, incompetent or unconcerned to provide jobs to its citizens, stay home and fix it. America is not here to feed and clothe the world. America is for Americans and those who follow the rules and are deemed by our laws and policies to be fit to be citizens. And remember, as law breaking illegal immigrants you have and deserve no voice in how this country is run.

Real ID or Mark of the Beast?
I know it's been a long while since I posted anything here. I haven't agreed with everything President Bush has done since his re-election, but then I never expected to. Overall he has done a good job. But now there is an impending Bill going to him for signature that really disturbs me. What disturbs me even more is that the Bush Administration supported this bill through Congress.

What bill is it that has me so worried. It's the Real ID bill that got attached to the latest upcoming Iraq military spending bill.

What really worries me is this:
"The so-called Real ID Act now heads to President Bush, who is expected to sign the bill into law this month. Its backers, including the Bush administration, say it's needed to stop illegal immigrants from obtaining drivers' licenses. "

Why not just stop the illegal immigrants first? Get tough with Mexico, slam the borders shut on every non-American. Put an effective border patrol in place (yes it can be done as was proved in Arizona by a civilian group The Minuteman Project )

Instead we have this coming:
"If the act's mandates take effect in May 2008, as expected, Americans will be required to obtain federally approved ID cards with "machine readable technology" that abides by Department of Homeland Security specifications. Anyone without such an ID card will be effectively prohibited from traveling by air or Amtrak, opening a bank account, or entering federal buildings."

Sounds awfully close to what went on in Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, apartheid South Africa and the Tutu purge in Rwanda.

Not to mention this quote:
"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666" (Rev. 13:16-18).

So Mister President, are you a Christian or not? Do you believe in the scriptures or not. Or is your professed faith just a mask to garner votes. Your signature will tell the world the truth.

Mexican Guide for Illegal Migrants to US
The Mexican government has issued a guide for Mexican citizens who want to enter the US illegally. Or for that matter any other person who wants to enter our country illegally, seeing as how they posted this guide on a government website open to the world at large.

So why isn't this plastered all over the national and local news? Personally I consider this to be a direct action against the security of the US. Why isn't our government taking action against Mexico, demanding that this be taken down? The only voice raised in outrage is Tom Tancredo, Representative from Colorado.

The Mexican government claims it has "an obligation to take all actions possible in order to avoid the loss of life". Hmmm, ever considered patrolling your side of the border and stopping these criminals from leaving to begin with?

Why not contact your Congressman and voice your opinion.

President Bush Re-Elected
Today America's voice was heard around the world. The message is clear. We are not afraid, we won't run, we won't quit. We're behind you Mr. President. Good Job! Keep it up!

The Liberals tried and almost suceeeded in undermining all the work done in the last four years. But thanks to Just Plain Americans like you and me, they failed. To all of you I say, Good Job, Keep it up! Now the real work can resume, ferreting out the terrorist enemy, building our economy and most important of all, living as free Americans.

To Michael Moore, Ted Rall and others of their ilk, pay attention to the message delivered today. It was meant for you as much as for any foreign detractor. We see through you and find you inconsequential.

To the terrorists, get ready to die. That's the message we're sending you.

JOHN GLENN ON THE SENATE FLOOR

Some people still don't understand why military personnel do what they do for a living. This exchange between Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one man's explanation of why men and women in the armed services do what they do for a living. This IS a typical, though sad, example of what some who have never served think of the military.

Senator Metzenbaum to Senator Glenn: "How can you run for Senate when you've never held a real job?"

Senator Glenn: "I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps. I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions. My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different occasions. I was in the space program. It wasn't my checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was not a nine-to-five job, where I took time off to take the daily cash receipts to the bank. I ask you to go with me ... as I went the other day... to a veteran's hospital and look those men - with their mangled bodies - in the eye, and tell THEM they didn't hold a job! You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go, as I have gone, to the widows and orphans of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee... and you look those kids in the eye and tell them that their DADS didn't hold a job. You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch those waving flags. You stand there, and you think about this nation, and you tell ME that those people didn't have a job? I'll tell you, Howard Metzenbaum; you should be on your knees every day of your life thanking God that there were some men - SOME MEN - who held REAL jobs. And they required a dedication to a purpose and a love of country and a dedication to duty - that was more important than life itself. And their self-sacrifice is what made this country possible. I HAVE held a job, Howard! What about you?"

For those who don't remember - During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA.

Osama Goes to Heaven
Some humor today, I think you will like it.

After his death, Osama bin Laden went to heaven. There he was greeted by
George Washington, who proceeded to slap him across his face and yell at
him, "How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!"

Patrick Henry appoached and punched Osama in the nose and shouted, "You wanted
to end our liberties but you failed."

James Madison entered, kicked Osama in the groin and said, "This is why I
allowed our government to provide for the common defense!"

Thomas Jefferson came in and proceeded to beat Osama many times with a
long cane and said, "it was evil men like you that provided me the inspiration
to pen the Declaration of Independence!"

These beatings and thrashings continued as John Rudolph, James Monroe and 66
other early Americans came in and unleashed their anger on the Muslim
terrorist leader. As Osama lay bleeding and writhing in unbearable pain,
an Angel appeared.

Bin Laden wept and said to the Angel, "This is not what you promised me!"

The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for
you in heaven. What did you think I said?"
